This seems a tad bit easier for every day use. I haven't been able to think of a situation where the battery powered brewer would be better than other alternatives. Maybe it's just a fun think to have. I once was given a Dewalt flashlight that used the same batteries as their drills. It was a terrible flashlight but it was fun to receive and was a good conversation piece.
