My phone and watch provide sleep info - but whats the point?

Personal data tracking only makes sense in so far as it alters your future behavior. There's nothing that going to do that, fortunately there's no need.

Well, it's not really a "thingie" and it's stupid expensive if you just use it for sleep tracking, but it's awesome if you've ever also wanted a heated and cooled bed: [www.eightsleep.com]

there are. I bought one. Utterly useless for me coz my jaw is narrow.
So mine is a custom mold that friends have used to great success.

Basically, pour boiling water on it, let it cool a few secs then bite down to mold to your mouth.

The tracking also makes sense if you need to provide that information to a medical professional. IT's one of the reasons why I track several health related items, sleep included.
