iMovie alternatives

podcast client is VERY technologically challenged, even by his own admission.
he is most comfy on a PC but has found his way through iMovie.
Are there other/better/easier choices for basic vediting besides iMovie and Filmora?
Obviously, not Avid, Premiere or daVinci.

MPEGStreamclip is my go-to for simple edits. Its development stopped at 32-bit, though.

What is wrong with iMovie? Just not used to the workflow or mac or something else?

I think the real issue is he's in a rush and his Macs are old and so is his PC.
I'm gonna bring over my 2018MM tmrw for him to see the difference.

he found Movavi which appears to be a dead copy for iMovie for PC.
Time will tell.
