Sounds very promising. How is connection made between iPhone and desktop? That's the part that I can never get to work.

The device connects via a standard iPhone Lightning to USB charging cable to a USB port on your Mac (or PC). iMazing will see the device and then ask how you want to proceed.

I have an older perpetual license that allows unlimited devices and no annual fee. I know at some point I'll have to migrate to their new licensing model but I'll hold off while I can.
