Scanners is a B science-fiction film without the B quaintness, but it'll probably satisfy most inner 10yo.

The pic is not truly indicative of the most 'dramatic' fx, lol.

Color me Not a Cronenberg Fan, so there'll be no chance I'll see this series.

I can, however, recommend Seasons 1 and 2 of The Capture, starring the delicious Holiday Grainger (Strike, Great Expectations)

Scanners is a Cronenberg classic. Yes, the head explosion is the most famous scene, but the one at the end, the final duel between the scanners, is really quite well done. Also, Jennifer O'Neill is quite lovely and has some interesting scenes.

Making a series out of this though, maybe not the smartest idea... they already made 3-4 sequels, all of which were pretty terrible.

You know it's a Sci-Fi, B-movie classic when Michael Ironside shows up.
