with all the paved-over concrete in the world, we should definitely have more 3D sidewalk murals

Is it sketched, or is it a typical street in The Bronx?

This would be more fun with lava the 'bottom'!

I'd love to see a version of a single speedbump done like that, perpendicular to the street. That would mess with drivers' minds...and likely slow them down.

There's a strip mall near here that has what look like a normal speed bump painted across the parking lot. It seems to work really well. I slow down for it even though I've drive over it many times.

I love that 3D look.

It reminds me of the episode titles in Fringe and show title in My Life is Murder.

I think the floating crosswalk lines might be for effective slowing vehicle traffic than speed bumps.

For every low slung vehicle or slower older drivers, there are probably five who will barrel over them, knowing that most speed bumps taken at a slightly brisk pass are smoother than slower going.

It would still be worth trying, though.
