How is Best Buy for an iphone battery replacement?
It is much closer than the nearest Apple Store, but Best Buy always worries me.

Yes this is where Apple is sending me to get a GENUINE Apple replacement battery because the nearest Apple Store is 90 miles away.

It's either BB or send it in to them and wait.

Ultimately when you get it back, you should also check that under battery health that it shows up as a genuine apple part. Can’t imagine it wouldn’t since Spple sent you there.

Just go to any battery kiosk in the mall. They’ll have more experience and their business is on the line.

Batteries Plus changes phone batteries. Not all stores do it and I don't know about using Apple parts. Had my Android phone battery changed at one store while I wait (took maybe 20 or 30 minutes) and it is working fine.

I had to get a new battery and had Batteries Plus change it on my phone back when Apple stores were closed due to the pandemic. Every time I checked the status of the battery it kept telling me there was a problem. About a year or so afterwards I had to get another battery, and this time I went to the Apple store. Everything went well and have had no further issues (knock on wood).
