I'm trying to access this government website:

[mypay.dfas.mil]

They say Firefox is not supported even though it's totally up to date.

They will accept Chrome version 72 or higher. I have Chrome version 103 on my Sierra installation. Chrome version 103 is old and out of date. Chrome version 72 dates way back to to January 2019.

WTF

Oh...IE is supported...

I recall that there was a Y2K like issue expected in the past year as both Chrome and FireFox version numbers went from 2 digits to 3 digits when their version numbers hit 100+. It's possible that's what's happening.

Although if I just click OK on that initial warning message it let me into the site, does the site seem to function properly if you just ignore the warning?

So that government site supports only Microsoft browsers or Google's Chrome browser. Pitiful…

GGD may be on the right track with the advice to press on regardless.
