I'm being told that "red bag" chicken at ALDIs that is cooked in an air fryer is quite tasty. I have never seen nor used an air fryer.

Can anyone recommend a model from Amazon or Wally?

Is there that big of a difference over using a convection oven?

I have a Ninja SP101, just under $200 at Amazon. I got it for $179 at Costco.
I like it because it flips up when not in use, taking up less counter space.
It heats up very fast, much faster than my convection oven, using less energy.

Can't say that I can recommend an Air Friar, but you might consider a Flying Nun.

We also have the Ninja SP101 which we received as a gift. I Have a love hate relation ship with it. it is much faster to heat up for making a quick batch of frozen fries than our convection oven. But making anything else in it is a chore. The cleanup time outweighs the convenience and speed of cooking. Also did i day the Ninja take a lot of counter real estate, even in the folded up position.

I would give it away. My wife is afraid to offend the gift giver.
