See Alaska Brown Bears catch lots of salmon-live!

There they are, sitting in the stream gobbling up the salmon as the leap upstream

right here=> [explore.org]

By the way, smoked salmon is on sale at Costco today for $15.49 a pound. At those prices, I'd bet a lot of people at Costco wish they were sitting in the rushing water batting away at fresh fish.

Gee, looks about like our fishing lake in the winter. Guys arguing about spots for their ice holes, same fat guts, even the same color Carhartts. Probably smell about the same, too.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

it is currently 2:53 AM there and sunrise is at 8:20 AM. I am surprised how much light is in these live streams.

1. If the linked image says "Highlights", that means you're not seeing live camera shots, just the best of the live feed from other times.

2. Salmon season for 2022 is winding down now. The most activity is when they're swimming upstream in July and August.

And, it's Alaska; on the longest day of the year (around June 20th) it never gets completely dark.

p.s. If you can swing it, Brooks Falls is a "bucket list" experience.

Before covid, I took a cruise from Seattle, WA to Alaska. One side trip was to a salmon hatchery. It took almost an hour but, bears finally showed up for lunch. We were about 100 yards from where the bears had gathered and, one bear who came in from a different direction, passed about 50 yards from where we had been assembled.

Our group flew in on a float plane which was the first time I'd had the opportunity to travel in a float plane. All in all, a good time was had by all. smiling smiley
