Bose QC II earbuds are really sweet

I work on active noise cancellation as a part of my work, and so I've been following the tech for many years.

I have the new Bose QC IIs, and have been using then for more than a week. There are a number of reviews, just noting/validating them from an iPhone user.

They work quite well in connecting via bluetooth - at least as well as the Apple Airpods Pro (first gen). Not as seamless as moving to my Mac, etc, but as a dedicate iPhone earbuds they connect well.

And they are even better than the QC first gen at active noise cancellation. That's remarkable, as those were good enough to use on airplanes (the AirPods Pro - not so great).

Apple has released the next gen Air Pods Pro, which I have not tested. But all reviews say the Bose are better in active noise cancellation (anti-noise tech).

The QC II has a much smaller case, which was a real limitation for the first gen. The new case fits fine in my pocket.

The only aspect that is missing to give the QC II a perfect 10/10 is they removed wireless charging from the case (and something found in the QC first gen, too). USB-C charging - which does work fine.

Currently, you can have any color so long as it's black that you like. White is on its way.

Price? $299. Yep. Expensive. But if you feel ok paying such a price for blissful quiet, these are the best around.

Are they comfy?

Could you lie on your side with them in (at night) without dislodging them?

I'm gonna get some when get to the refurb prices. I like that they're smaller. I like my Bose 700 headphones a lot.

Baby Buzz has gone thru a goodly number of wireless earbuds, and he currently favors the QC II's, too.
He's on his way to EU and N. Africa for ~a month, so that'll be a good workout for 'em.
We'll see/hear how well they fared when he gets back, or sooner, I'm sure, if it's not well.
He's pretty thorough about reading reviews, but not so much about giving them, so I expect his details will be scanter than OP's.

(Though this reminds me to check w/ him to find out whether he took his MBP & his iPad, or just his iPad.)

I've got the original Bose QuietComfort earbuds and they are a pure joy to use. On planes, I used to always carry a pair of bulky headphones, but the noise cancellation on these is amazing. I use them in the gym daily, too, and with their silicone ear wing, they really stay put. I love entering our very noisy gym, slipping them on, and hearing Bose's noise removal tech remove it to barely there, and then starting my workout music. Its recharging unit is great, too.

I didn't even know they'd come out with a 2nd iteration, sekker, and your post made me go read up on the comparison between the two. Seems like they did a giant leap forward on all fronts, including 30% smaller. Enjoy 'em! I sure do.

I know a local guy that used to work for Bose and they did a ton of research into noise cancellation tech. In fact, I believe they sell it for therapeutic use (although I cannot recall in what capacity).

I started using the QC earbuds instead of my over the ear Bose awhile ago as I need readers. The bulky headphones hurt my ears with glasses.

Sorry for the brevity of the post, was written during a break. But there really are a lot of reviews online. I read a half-dozen, and my post was meant to add what I did not see in those other posts.

They are quite comfortable. I have not tried sleeping with them, but I will try lying down and see how they feel to me.
