Kind of messed up that they named their ad-supported tier "Premium". "Premium Plus" is without ads. But I guess Peacock is one of the few that actually also has free content without a subscription (is that still true?), so "Premium" means more content.

The ads on Peacock are not too bad. Watched a movie on there and they played one 2-3 minute at the beginning and no more during the movie. Ads don't bother me, I grew up with them on TV.

I remember that when we watched the Psych movie. I'm ok with that format (all the ads upfront). I wonder if they do that with TV as well? Or if they follow the traditional ads in the middle format for TV? Which can be incredibly annoying if they don't use the scripted ad breaks and just insert them at specific time intervals, or on programs meant for streaming without ads that don't have scripted ad breaks.

In a brief test of the free plan, TV shows have ads throughout. I was watching a made for broadcast show, so at least the ads were at the normal commercial breaks, and each break was 1 minute, so overall, it's less ads than live TV...

I grew up with ads too. But that was when the total time for ads was 10 minutes per hour of broadcast. Now it is nearly twice that. That level of ads bothers me, one of the reasons I eventually dumped cable TV for streaming.

The level of ads on Peacock Premium isn't too bad, and for much of the material available are just a few minutes at the beginning. Since I get that for free with a Flex box from Comcast with my internet service I have checked it out. But most of my watching is still ad-free Netflix.
