What do we like for HEVC-compatible editors?

I'm seeing more video content pop up in HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) h.265 format, and my old simple editors (MPEGStreamclip and such) can't hack it. What's the word these days in hobbyist-level video edit software?

UPDATE: Avidemux seems to work fine for this. Also seen recommendations for VirtualDub but haven't tried it myself yet.

Certainly a step above hobbyist-level, but Davinci Resolve will work with h.265, and the free version works with up to 4K resolution projects.

Shotcut should also work, Mac or PC. It’s free.

I tried it and it does work, but it also reencodes everything once you're done editing. I know it's not a best practice, but I'd just as soon stay in the same encoding generation whenever possible. I've been doing that with Streamclip for well over a decade now with good results; and it's not like I'm publishing stuff for public consumption, this is all for my own home server.
