No new AppleTV thread yet?

Heard about a few hours ago. Not sure what they were thinking leaving the Ethernet connection off the cheaper model. That means an extra injection mold to make, unless they're milling out the cheaper shell during the production for the ethernet port.

My 4th gen model is still handling everything I need it to do.

64Gb WiFi model $129
128Gb WiFi and Ethernet model $149

I think the processor, storage size and lower prices. They used to all have an ethernet jack.

It must cheaper to leave the Ethernet port out. I’ve never used it.
I’m still fine with w the 1st gen 4Ks I have, but the thread option may be interesting later on.

The new iPad on the other hand…

Its difficult to tell how this translates to functionality. I miiiight upgrade as I use my AppleTV for Zwift.

Wireless sure is convenient (and necessary for some) but there ain't no substitute for a rag top automobile wired connection.

But does Amazon Prime work? There's the question. It has not worked on my ATV4 (early) for months.

Amazon changed its interface and overhauled its app a few months ago. I know this is entry-level suggestion, but have you tried deleting it and then reinstalling?

I definitely have deleted and reinstalled. Reportedly it's an issue of AP wanting a static address for DNS server versus the dynamic assigned by my router. Some people have had luck with setting up 8.8.8.8 for DNS on their ATV. Haven't fully experimented with that yet.

I am curious if the new remote is better.

The one one, touchpad, is junk.
