Apple Increasing Pricing of Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple One

....Apple today announced pricing increases for several of its services, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, and the Apple One bundles that include those services.

?Apple Music? is increasing in price by $1 for individual users and $2 for the family plan, while Apple TV is increasing in price by $2. All ?Apple One? prices will also rise accordingly, according to information obtained by 9to5Mac. Full pricing is as follows:

Apple Music

Individual plan - $10.99/month, a $1 increase
Family plan - $16.99/month, a $2 increase
Annual plan for individuals - $109/year, a $10 increase

Apple TV+

Monthly plan - $6.99/month, a $2 increase
Annual plan - $69/year, a $20 increase

Apple One

Individual plan - $16.95/month, a $2 increase
Family plan - $22.95/month, a $3 increase
Premium plan - $32.95/month, a $3 increase

Apple says that prices are going up as of today due to increased licensing costs. For ?Apple Music?, the increase will provide artists and songwriters with additional money for their music. The price of ?Apple TV+? is rising now that it has more content, according to Apple.

The pricing increases listed pertain to the United States, but prices will be going up in most countries. Current ?Apple Music?, ?Apple TV+?, and ?Apple One? subscribers will receive notifications about the price increase 30 days ahead of when it is enacted, giving them time to cancel if they do not wish to pay the higher price.

You know what sounds more and more affordable with each passing day?

CDs and DVDs.

You can thank me because I subscribed to Apple One a month ago. But, we're sharing it with 4 people so it's still a pretty good deal.

The wife and I like to go to garage sales to buy DVDs. I won’t pay more than $1/movie or $0.50 per CD. Sometimes I get a good deal, like $15 for over 50 movies in really nice sealed containers. Sure, I already had some of the movies, but I’ll just sell them when we have a garage sale.

So, we have Apple One, which is going up. We mostly need it for iCloud storage, Apple Music, and AppleTV+. We can get AppleTV+ through T-mobile, so I may unbundle it and just subscribe to the other two. It will only save me $6/month, but that still counts for something.

I scored a two month trial of Apple TV+. I was pretty psyched, but after watching a few shows I was excited to try and a couple that have been getting great buzz, I haven’t been back to it after that. I’ve watched three days tops.

I’ve been shocked how unengaging everything has been. See, Ted Lasso, Severance, Foundation, nothing has grabbed me in the least.

I’m not calling it a failure or disappointment. It’s just crazily clear I’m just on a different page in what I’m looking for than they are conceptually. A complete disconnect. It’s kind of fascinating actually.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
