So, about that Fedora I bought to take advantage of the strong dollar...

It arrived last week, and, I'm very pleased with it!

100% rabbit fur felt, dark navy blue. Not a bad deal for $70... comparables were over $100.

In case you get a millinary urge...

The weakened pound has not yet brought my favored fedora into my price-range.

Ordered a cheapo trilby last week for my son’s Halloween costume. Rabbit fur felt would have been a sweet upgrade!

I had the pleasure of "window shopping" in Herbert Johnsons London shop a couple years ago... I won't be affording one of theirs any time soon, but, they are lovely as an aspiration.

Never heard a flat cap be called an "Ivy"

Just bought myself a genuine Kangol last month!
Been wearing flat caps on and off since the 90s, whenever I cut my hair short.

Me neither, but, bon-clic-bon-genre is French, so, I figure some things get lost in colloquials and translations...

Funny thing is, for grins, I did a Google Street View of their address - it's just a house in the 'burbs... not even a particularly large garage.

Not quite 10 years ago, I picked up a surprisingly nice, 100% wool, made in usa, fedora from Cabela's that I still wear. It's one of the soft variety but looks decent and was really inexpensive at like $30. It may have been on clearance, I don't recall.

Hurts like a bastid...
