I didn't know that snakes could swallow adults. I was always under the impression that the shoulders of adults were too wide for the snake to wrap their mouths around. Kids and teens, sure, but adults were the ones that couldn't be swallowed.

I guess I was wrong.

That must've really been terrifying being strangled by a snake.

I saw some very lightly built adults in Thailand (tourist trip)... I would imagine that Indonesia would be similar.
And yes, I share the "ugh" of what that must have been like.

Pythons prey on antelope and other larger animals. Even crocodiles. If they can eat them, they can definitely eat a person. The jaws of a python aren't connected like that of, say, a human. They open wide, unhinge and separate.

I can't fathom the terror that woman must have experienced while being constricted. At least she'd've been long dead prior to the snake consuming her.
