If you have a Ventura capable Mac, have you updated to Ventura yet?

My lit'l bro is bugging the crap outa me to upgrade to Ventura immediately. I'm of the persuasion that Monterey 12.6.1 oughta be fine for another week or two, until the initial kinks in Ventura surface and get addressed. Any early adopters here have any experiences, positive and/or negative that can be anonymously shared?
Thanks.

I will upgrade my 2018 mac mini which is used as a TV computer. I use very few apps on that computer so I would likely enjoy any new OS tricks while using it. The only other computer that I own that is compatible is my main computer, a 2017 imac - it will not ever see ventura while I own it. The county or the OS. Not sure how far I'm going to go with it...

I almost never update to a macOS before the first update comes out. I have avoided many of the bugs Apple has released as part of the initial version of the OS.

I'm still on Sierra, High Sierra, Catalina, and Mojave.

Eligible hardware may know the way to Monterey, but I don't see Ventura on the upgrade highway any time soon.

I'm not having any problems on my 3 Macs. But then I don't do much with them anymore, either.

I upgraded my M1 mini and M1 MacBook Pro without issue

Then, upgraded my wife's M1 Air without issue

Then, upgraded both of my sons' M1 Airs without issue

Then, upgraded my mom's M1 iMac without issue

In summary, I've upgraded all the Macs in my family without issue

Haven't had time to play around with the new features yet, but looking forward to giving Stage Manager a spin

One grandson, who just turned 13, is wonderfully excited about Ventura, to which he updated his 2017 MB Pro, formerly his dad's. Grandson is showing me the new Airs and Pros on the Apple page. He wants an M2 14" MB Pro. I said, "Get a job."

Me, I'm on my 2015 iMac and 11.6" Air, running High Sierra and Mojave, respectively. But then, I've always been out of date, even when I started on used SEs in 1988. . .

Only have one that can handle it but I'm waiting. Still getting used to jumping straight from High Sierra to Monterey.

Stage Manager is a winner. The rest - meh. But we live on the bleeding edge around here - and no issues so far as far as workflow.

No.

I sometimes need to bring my computer to work, and IT has already said that there are issues between Ventura and the software they use for antivirus/security/etc.

They use:

ForeScout, the network access control software
anti-malware software (Cylance)
the system they use is the Moysle system (?) and somehow some Macs updated even though they were not supposed to

I don't know what all that means, but we were specifically told in an email from the head IT guy:

"But, and it is a big BUT, this new version also has significant problems. Generally, it does not play well with the other software **** IT uses for security. Apple has acknowledged that this is a widespread problem as detailed in this article on Wired (https://www.wired.com/story/apple-macos-ventura-bug-security-tools/)."

About half the people at work, at least on my side of things, use Macs. We have dedicated Mac guys to support the staff who use them, with no real push to move anything over to PC (unless you count the manufacturers of the instruments we use who only develop their software for PCs and NOT Macs).

The last line made me laugh.

But it's great that you have an actual Mac IT Guy, and a number (HAH!) of colleagues who also use Macs.

Strength (sometimes) in numbers.
