you may have to enter your local PBS station to watch.
It needs lots of editing, but it's still interesting and has some great footage.

Are they native to Texas?

Heard their hit the other day and thought, "why haven't I remembered these guys?"

Yes, but there are very few left.
It was an interesting show.

they're native to a long strip of land from Tex into South America.
But in Tx, very few are left, 100 or so.
The DoI (or whoever) hasn't tagged them for re-introduction, mostly because Tx is 95% privately owned and the (cattle) ranchers won't let them on their land.

Wikipedia says their conservation status is "least concern"

I want one for my front yard to deal with the squirrel infestation problem.

"Least concern" because ocelots in general have a long distribution area.
Texas is different. Fortunately, now Texas is carry as you please law.
I'd be watching out for armed ocelots.

Just watched a Nature episode American Ocelots.

I love these various cat videos.

Caught parts of it tonight. Very good. I'll watch the rest online.

Nature programming always reminds me of watching tv when I was young and trying to find anything to watch. In a way, I learned from being bored.

Hurts like a bastid...
