SF Author Greg Bear has died at 71

Greg Bear was a 5 time Nebula Award recipient, and prolific writer of SF. Just starting reading his books off my to-be-read pile, wish I had started sooner as I have enjoyed his works so far. He recently went in for surgery, suffered complications related to a surgery done several years ago.

"Bear died on November 19, 2022, at the age of 71, from multiple strokes, caused by clots that had been hiding in a false lumen of the anterior artery to the brain since a surgery in 2014. After being on life support for two days and not expected to recover, per his advance healthcare directive life support was withdrawn." sad smiley
