Went to bed last night feeling really dizzy. I guess this head cold is playing havoc with my Ménière’s. Anyway. Woke up at 5AM coughing my head off when the wife tells me the water heater is making a LOUD racket. Went out to look. Sure enough. VERY loud. It's tankless so there's not much to it that can make a racket (I thought). So after some googling, I disassemble it and pull the motor. Now. Up until this point, all my googling pointed to an unbalanced motor caused by years of buildup of dead bugs flying into the exhaust and getting ground up by the fan.

Well after pulling the motor I find a dead @#$%& mouse in it! Throwing it off balance. Of course, in the spirit of the holidays, I somehow manage to turn 1 degree to the right in the wrong way and pull my back out.

Sitting here now, working from home. Leaning on a heating pad. Taking Advil and popping cough drops like candy. So not sure if that qualifies as a win or a tie.

At least I have hot water. @#$%& mouse.
