I think the new Apple silicon Macs are awesome.

But there are some great deals on Intel Macs like the OWC 2020 5k iMac that would be worth considering if you are budget-conscience.

I just bought a 14" MacBook Pro 16/512 for $1599 on Wednesday.

Seems like Amazon and best buy still have that deal.

I was just at costco. They had the 16 inch macbook pro for $1999. The amazon deal is $2199 but comes down to $1999 for the 512GB SSD.

Gee, only 14" or 16" models. No 15" models. :-(

The 16" is essentially the 15" model. Just helped someone move from a 2014 (or 2015) 15" MacBook Pro to a 16" M1 from Costco. Basically identical in size. Just less black space around the screen bezel, so the usable screen area is larger in the same size as the old 15" form factor.

Just got a 14” from Costco. I thought I wanted an air but too small. Thought I wanted a 16” but too heavy for me.

My main reason for getting it is because my current MacBook pro 2012 is a 13.3 inch and I can barely read it sometimes. Too old for small screens.

Also, this video card is incapable of doing virtual backgrounds in zoom, which I use all the time.
