I've only been using it for a few months now and there is still a lot to learn. As far as getting started, I just did a youtube search for whatever the thing was that I needed to know. The PDF manual is over 4,000 pages so searching that, even on my M1 Max, is not always the most efficient way to figure things out. There are plenty of video tutorials on YouTube, just be specific on what you are looking for since Resolve is so large.
If this is for a client you'll definitely need to figure out if they need a final delivery in any particular color space. That can be a a real headache TBH.
Luckily, for the work I am doing right now color isn't critical. We're shooting in Blackmagic 6K Raw, so there is some work to do getting the color grade set. But if you're getting non-RAW footage it should look OK right off the bat. Still, you might consider tweaking you think it's needed.
It's important to know that there are different sections for editing, audio, color, and output. There is also a section called Fusion which is for compositing and effects; It seems super complicated at first, and honestly it sort of is, but certainly not impossible. I started following this tutorial to learn Fusion, which is excellent - [

Beyond that, I wouldn't say it too terribly different than Premiere or FCP in terms of timeline edits. You'll do well to learn the keyboard shortcuts. Just start with a small project and figure out the basic edits, then try to export. Plan on digging into Fusion, Color, later on.
EDIT- What hardware do you have to use?
