Yes, he is RichER.

That is unlikely the reason he did it, however.

He wants influence. He wants to shape things. That's the the insatiable hunger he has.

I think this is good for Apple and good for the future of Mac.

Somehow I don't see him wearing the Ears. He gets other people to publicly humiliate themselves (Intel in a Bunny suit, for example, when the Apple ads involved the Bunny suit guy on fire, etc..)

Yeah, I had to point out that horrible PS pic earlier. Very reminiscent of the PS job that pRON (?) did sticking iMac G4 half-domes on top of Jobs' and Ive's heads a few years back.

Some key point that catch my eye:

For content and distribution it is key for Jobs to use the Apple connection to do what a company Like Sony has failed to do so far.
[i["Disney and Pixar can now collaborate without the barriers that come from two different companies with two different sets of shareholders," said Jobs in a statement. "Now, everyone can focus on what is most important, creating innovative stories, characters and films that delight millions of people around the world."[/i]

Getting Lasseter is HUGE for Disney and could be the key to a revitalization for an animation unit that is content in churning out straight to mediocre video/dvd sequels. I hope this will be key in not letting Pixar fall into the Disney mediocrity of $ over creativity.
John Lasseter, the highly respected creative director at Pixar who had previously worked for Disney, will rejoin the House of Mouse as chief creative officer for the company's combined animated studios and will also help oversee the design for new attractions at Disney theme parks.

Pixar is full of creative geniuses but which one came up with a supposed future project described in the article, "Ratatouille" about a rat living in a snazzy Parisian restaurant?

Jobs is now worth 10% of Gates' wealth. Does not seem fair.

Seems to me that when Apple bought Next, it was really buying a friendly takeover by Steve Jobs.

I suspect that the same thing has just happened at Disney, only the board members may not be aware of it yet.

In SJ: The second coming, the writer discussed how jobs was SO jealous of Gate because of his billions (SJ was only worth millions at the time. Pixar's early days and Next almost erased his fortune. He didn't get super mega rich until he came back to Apple.

Now he's worth several billion. That should make him happy for a week or two...

oh, and Gates was SO jealous because of Jobs' rep as a visionary. Gates wanted to be a visionary too...

too bad

Actually......

his wealth didn't move much at all. It's just under a new umbrella.

I still want to see Apple Buy Adobe.
