Vikings make NFL history (contains spoilers)

Down 33-0 at halftime, win 39-36 in OT. Clinch division, make biggest comeback in NFL history.

Pretty thrilling game if you’re not a Colts fan.

Pre/Post Unitas or Manning? Maybe Morrall, Rivers, Luck? Or everyone's fave Bert Jones?

The Vikings made their 1,000th franchise game a memorable one.

Hmm, would have thought a comeback like that would involve the Lions.

Are you blaming the Jesuits?

This is only going to make the Viking's end of season collapse all the more spectacular.

Now that’s a cheap shot after the Lions beat the Vikes last week. Unless you mean the Lions made a huge comeback, although the Lions would have made the huge comeback only to lose by three.

The Buffalo Bills held the comeback record since January 3, 1993

The Comeback or The Choke was an NFL playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Oilers played on January 3, 1993 at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. It featured the Bills recovering from a 32-point deficit to win in overtime, 41–38. Wikipedia

I think many if not most Vikings fans are aware they are not going to win the Super Bowl. But many say so what - let’s enjoy this spectacular one game nevertheless. Winning the big one is not the only positive outcome for a team or their fans.

Looked like they switched jerseys at halftime...

Not a fan of either team, we watched the second-half. The Colts were helped by some pretty one-sided officiating, too. And still - lost.

Sorry, but "Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" is the phrase I hear the most when the Lions are mentioned.

The ONLY thing that matters is that we took the division, not GB.
All the rest is just fluff.

I did not know this - for all the talk about the Bears/Packers rivalry... NFC North's actually dominated by the Vikings?!

Did you know that the 1970s happened? Also, they built up a good lead and get a division championship every couple of years. It seems unlikely that Favre and Rodgers will be enough for the Packers to steal that back. Then again, this year has Packer fans wondering if we'll ever make it to the playoffs again. Perhaps too dramatic but they've also been that mediocre.

Vikes once held a record for Super Bowl losses, then along came the Bills. Nowadays the Pats and Broncos share that record.
