Started watching King of Tulsa last night

I read a good review where it said that for once, Stallone wasn't playing a variation of Rocky and instead is acting his age and is playing a clever character.

I like it - a good ensemble of side characters - not too cliche-ish.

8.3 on IMDB [www.imdb.com]

I went to the University of Tulsa for undergrad, so I've watched with slightly different interest than most folks. But it's been amusing to see, first, Friends and now Tulsa King treat the city as equivalent to Siberia, a place to banish characters to.

I enjoyed the first five episodes, all I've seen. But I keep thinking there's something wrong with the underlying premise, that Bodhi would just accept Dwight as his new partner without raising some sort of objection with local law enforcement. Why would he just keep putting all the cash he takes in at the dispensary into a wall safe, with no plan for converting it into some other kind of asset that would be safer?

We like it a lot but we could do without some of the foul language.

You'll see.
