Recommentations sought: Coffee transportation, dispensing, and thermal management

tl;td: Need recommendations for coffee "travel" mug.

Maybe because I drove transit bus for so long, I have used mostly stainless steel thermally insulated containers for my coffee. Started with the traditional Thermos® with the little screw off cup on the top. Was later gifted Starbucks™ bulgy mugs which resisted tipping while on the 1970s GMC transit bus dashboard I was fond of driving.

Post bus driving, I moved on to various Contigo mugs that Costco offered over the years. They were mostly good, but all suffered from hard to clean tops that gummed up and eventually quit working well. Costco now carries a Thermos® brand which I tried, it had an overly complex lid and most importantly, DID NOT KEEP THE COFFEE HOT LONG ENOUGH. Returned that one…

I'm looking for recommendations: generally stainless steel, easy clean, long duration coffee warmth, spill resistant (somewhat). I brew my 16 ounces of coffee in the morning and like to sip on it into the early afternoon. A caffeine trickle charger so to speak… (Did see some Yeti mugs at the Ace Hardware, those any good?)

Thanks all!

Not inexpensive and battery life isn't as long as you would like, but worth a look: [ember.com]

I recently purchased the coffee mug version of this product and used it for the first time last weekend. It worked exactly as promised - it kept my coffee hot to the last drop. I use the charging base as a coaster when drinking at my desk, so batter life becomes a moot point.

It is what it is.

The new Contigo lids are easier to open and clean with an old toothbrush. I love mine.

Beyond that, a NIssan thermos is the best Thermos I've ever had for keeping Java hot.

My daughter got me this 20oz one for Xmas and it's great! Holds the right amount, keeps hot, sturdy (will likely outlast me).

Impressive technology, thanks for the thought!

I found the vent holes got clogged even when I rinsed immediately. A source for new Contigo lids is an idea, I've got a number of Contigo bodies already.

I'll give Nissan a peek, I remember them being to notch.
Thanks!

This one rings lots of bells for me. Lid looks simple and easy cleanable. I will check them out at the Ace Hardware.
Thanks!

Probably won't find this at Ace Hardware, but it's the best for keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. The positive lock top is pretty easy to keep clean, and 100% spill proof when it's locked down. Holds 16 oz.

At $28, it's $10 less expensive than the Yeti (though the Yeti can hold up to 20 oz)

we really liked the Contigo, but as said above, they got very gummy.
They were great for single handed cycling.
If you find a source for new tops .....

Thermos Sipp looks a possibility.

I have a smaller version of Yeti, 10 oz, it is OK and easy to clean. But it is not spill proof

EDIT: mine has a different LID, maybe the current model is spill proof since it has a way to close the lid? not sure.

I still use a Nissan travel mug that was my dad’s.
It keeps my coffee nice and hot.

My wife swears by her yeti mugs. I'm skeptical of the yeti brand due to their overpriced coolers but I don't drink coffee so I can't really comment on their ability to keep things warm.

Interesting design. Unfortunately, "non-stick" coating on the interior of the container. Thanks for the idea.
