Is somebody trying to tell me something? It's probably time I GTF off this hamster wheel of a time sink, but I'm curious as to why this is suddenly happening - I have my feed open and it just starts scrolling and jumping around on its own. I can't stop & read anything because the page keeps moving.

For other reasons, just today I updated my old late-2013 MacBook Pro from Mojave to Big Sur and also updated Safari, but the behavior continues.

I'm almost hoping to hear this is a FB update and that's how it's gonna be from now on - this will be the push I need!

Same thing here, I think fecesbook has changed something in their code yet again. It has made reading my home page almost impossible, a major pain as this weekend there is a convention I would normally attend and friends are posting their experiences. I first noticed this Friday evening, if it was a change on their end choosing to roll it out on a Friday when no one would be around to fix things on a weekend is about par for the course with them.

Happening here too! I guess I should be grateful its cutting my FB time.

It's been doing that to me off and on for quite a while (several months). It seems to be related to some kind of auto updating of the feed, but I have no idea why it does it sometimes and not others.

just started doing it for me today. I'm not on FB a ton, though.

i'm on FB a lot and though it's not happening to me there are lots of posts on my feed reporting the issue.

It's not just you. Based on a Social Fixer thread, it's something FB is testing re: replenishing the feed. Quite disturbing and hard to read when it's happening. Hopefully they will stop it soon.

I scroll SLOWLY. Then it only adds a couple new ones, which is much easier to get back to the place I was on.

And check out Social Fixer. It allows for a ton of customization (computer only) - hiding parts of page, ads, filters, among other things.

So of course they roll it out on a weekend and probably won't respond to complaints until today or later.

I find it doesn't matter how fast or slow I scroll through, all of a sudden it will start jumping around and more than half the time the top items in the feed end up being from several days ago. I wish it was just a couple new items. Add this on top of aggressively adding a number of "Suggested for you" items to the feed starting about a month ago they seem intent on making things unusable.

And with Social Fixer, you can hide all the "Suggested" posts.

Same here and it doesn't matter which browser on my Mac and it doesn't matter if it's my iMac running Monterey or my MBPr running Mojave.

Here's a thread on it. It's doing with me using my M1 MBP with Monterey and Safari. Firefox not as bad. I vowed to not DL Chrome onto this new one.

Was on it just now, was able to go a lot longer before it started "jumping". But jump it did.
