To be fair, my selected charity was getting well less than $100 a quarter, so there is some truth to the argument that this impact was spread pretty thin. That it was a puny 1% and probably brought far more business to Amazon than it paid to charities would be too cynical?

Eh, I found it annoying. Does amazon want to donate or not? Why do you need to jump through a specific hoop?

The animal shelter I designated was getting about $3k every year. Not bad considering the minimal effort that it took for that.
