Long shot-anybody in Seattle have a car they're willing to rent?

Turns out I need a car with snow tires to drive up to canada for 11 days in the last half of February, so the reservation I made won't cut it.

Anybody have a car they're willing to rent? Or a friend....?

Thanks!

Turo (the car sharing App) may be an alternative.

The international part is the problem. I don't know that I'd want someone other than me driving my car into another country bad road conditions. Where are you headed in Canada? In my experience Vancouver is a fairly temperate climate, similar to Seattle. But if you go up into the mountains things change pretty rapidly. I'm on the east side of the Cascades so I can't really help much.

Do you need to drive up to Canada, as well as drive within Canada?

There are several options to get from Seattle to Vancouver by bus. Here's one. Once in Vancouver, you should be able to find a rental car that fits your needs.

My understanding is that driving in much of BC in the winter requires winter or all-season (not necessarily snow) tires. Here is some information about driving on the Malahat, which requires going over a small, mountain pass to get north of Victoria.

Good luck, Todd's key-sled

Here's what the BC goverhment says:

What is a Legal Winter Tire in B.C.?
A legal winter tire (on a standard passenger vehicle or a four-wheel/all-wheel vehicle) MUST have at least 3.5 mm of tread depth.

A winter tire must be labelled with either of the following:

The letters "M" and "S", the minimum legal requirement (mud + snow/all season tires)
The 3-peaked mountain/snowflake symbol (some manufacturers label with both the mountain snowflake and the M+S symbol)

3-peaked mountain/snowflake tires (which include all-weather tires) offer better traction on snow and ice. We recommend drivers install 3-peaked mountain/snowflake tires for cold weather driving and, for extreme conditions, carry chains.

Chains, if you want to call them that, are cheap.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

“ Return Your Unused Devices in the Spring for a Full Refund

At Les Schwab, we carry snow chains and tire socks for passenger cars, SUVs, and CUVs. If you don’t use your chains or tire socks all winter long, you can always return them in the spring for a full refund. “

I would volunteer my Integra, but it needs a fair amount of work (not sure it would be ready in time) along with M+S tires).

It almost sounds like you should buy a used car with snow tires and sell it when you return. Why do you need to drive from Seattle into Canuckistan, why can't you travel there and rent a car?
