Periodic spontaneous panic/restart on A1286 MBP?

2010 MBP 15", running El Cap, 8GB/1TB SSD, can't seem to stay running more than a couple of days w/o having a panic attack, requiring a restart. 1TB SSD just replaced 500GB HDD, and while I was in there, did some spring cleaning, swapped in a new battery, and re-seated the RAM for good measure. When not panicking, it's running a lot better, faster, smoother than before the makeover. In its prior life, the HDD was overfull, and had issues from leftover software misgivings that I was hoping would left in the rear view mirror after the organ transplants.

Any ideas why it keeps crying out for Xanax? and maybe how to get it to toe the line for at least a couple of weeks at a time, instead of just days?
Thanks.

When did this start, before or after recent upgrades?

Was the ssd drive cloned from the original? Or did you do a reformat and reinstall of OS and apps? I suggest going the latter route. There are probably problematic system files.

SSD was cloned from another old MBP that wasn't problematic. Way more problems before upgrades, so too hard to discern if old and current issues have any similar origins. I guess I could run a redo of El Cap from the Recovery Partition to see if that does anything/helps?

Using the Console on Mac OS X El Capitan v10.11 and earlier:

“ Open the Console application (from the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder). It should open to All Messages, showing the log entries for everything that’s happened recently on your Mac. If you’ve previously narrowed the Console results, show the Log List and select All Messages before proceeding. “

Console Log only goes back to last night, after latest crash.

What should I be looking for?

Thanks.

Still contemplating El Cap refresh via Recovery Partition, but waiting to see how long MBP stays up this time......

RAM passes tests, but I do have a NIB, er, NIPC (New In Plastic Clamshell), pair of same spec sticks that never made it into their intended home of a similar vintage Mini, that could be swapped in. OTOH, (knock wood), it's been behaving nicely since its last temper tantrum, so hopefully it was all just adjusting to a fresh environment (fingers crossed)....
