what is this nonsense on a fully tricked out M1 mini w/16G ram, Ventura?

It seems that there is a limit to how much iMovie can import at once without this error coming up.

I tired 15 clips today, dunno how many minutes or total size the files were.

Anyone know what is the limit?
Certain number of minutes?
Certain number of files?
Certain total size of files?

I've looked at Activity Monitor, but that only shows iM is f'd.

does this tricked out mini have enough elbow room to operate imovie?

800G left of 2TB, so I'd say yes.
rebooted. seems to do it mostly on import.
but the imports is seldom more than 5G.
