In a normal year of the NCAA tournament, a 13 seed beating a 4 seed would be the story. But that got ignored when a 15 seed beat a 2 seed.

But now for only the second time in tournament history, a 16 seed brought down a #1 seed.

Purdue barely beat Penn State in the Big 10 Tournament. Tonight another big let down with outside shooting and ball handling, not to mention lack of defense. Exciting game, FDU was great.

Yeah, but Penn State is actually a very good team this year.

Correct, Penn State is good. But Purdue had no answer when Penn State ate up a double digit deficit at the end of the B10 game. Likewise FDU is a very good team. It just seems that if outside shooters are not hitting it is too much to ask Edy as a great center to carry the team. Also they struggled with the press (not unusual) and free throws (very unusual). So it goes.

Purdue was clearly the most vulnerable number 1 seed.

Too bad, I thought they had a very good team.
