Many years ago I was able to share my Amazon Prime free shipping benefits with a few friends even though they did not live at the same address. They were not able to stream, but got free shipping on my account. I cannot find that page to check if I still share with them or not. I'm just curious, I would not mind if they still got free shipping, they are good friends.

I could ask them, but I don't want to...

No, this was completely separate, they had their own accounts, credit cards, etc. I think a while ago Amazon had a feature where you could share prime shipping (but no video) with relatives. They cancelled that.

I don't see anyone under "Manage Your Household section". I think it was under a different page, but i cannot find it now.

I used to be able to share my daughter’s prime shipping, but when they stopped it, I was dropped, so I assume the same happened to your friends.

When did they stop the shipping benefit for family members? I've placed orders as recently as this past week and have received Prime shipping. I don't have my own, so I'm assuming it's because I'm on my daughter's Prime account for shipping. Then again, maybe it's just because we're at the same address.

Years ago, (maybe 5 years?) I shared my Amazon Prime account with my brother in law who lives at a different address. He set up his own account with name, address, password, user account, payment types. It was completely separate. I do not see what he orders or share payment types. Somewhere along the way Amazon stopped this specific type of sharing benefit. It is not possible anymore. I do not see any mention of him "piggy backing" on my Amazon Prime account in any way.

Yes, shared Prime at the same address is still allowed.

I have shared prime at the same address. I also have a couple of secondary addresses which I have successfully shipped to that aren't on the prime holder's account.

So if they've explicitly blocked sharing Prime between fiends living at different addresses, one way around that at least temporarily may be for the shared user to set up the sharer's address in their account. In the end tho prolly best to just pay for your own Prime.
