It was horrible.

Sequels usually suck, but it's hard to believe Shazam! Fury of the Gods could possibly any be worse.

I would have thought someone at the studio would have said 'Geeze, it'll be easy to write and produce a better sequel than the first.

But apparently they couldn't, if box office is any judge.

Maybe down the road it'll become a cult classic.

In the meantime I'll use Maverick as video sorbet.

I found the first Shazam to be fun. It never took itself seriously like many superhero movies tend to do. I did not care for Maverick. It wanted to be taken serious but had way too many factual issues to overlook.

One I'll watch again and chuckle, the other I'll just change the channel.

But to each their own, no issues

I turned it off about halfway through. A waste on so many levels.

I made it through maverick. Also bad

But streamed both, so no loss but time.

Just saw the sequel.

It didn't suck.

This is not to say that it was good.

It had more continuity than the reviews might lead one to believe, but relied very heavily on special effects to hide the gaps in the story (except where they just gave up and went with a pure deus ex machina) and the effects weren't very good.

C+ for effort.
