Utility That Remembers Copied Text

For some time I had a little utility (can't recall the name) in the Menu bar of my 2015 iMac, which remembered the last five (?) Copy commands. I found it invaluable, but it disappeared when I updated from High Sierra (10.13.6) to Mojave (10.14.6).

I probably learned about this little gem some years ago on this Forum. Anyone know what it's called, and how to find it?

Didn't know there was such an app. I'd be interested in something like that. I often am doing work where that would be a time saver.

I use FlyCut; use it continuously throughout the day. (App Store link) I think I have it set to remember the last 40 things I copied; haven't ever set favorites though.

I use CopyClip and it is a sub-function of QuickSilver as well.

A modern security update is to let the user know when an app has read the clipboard.
I found that change sensible…
Now I think of it, it’s probably iOS.

Copy'Em works on an old MacBook Pro and a more-recent Mac Mini. Use it multiple times throughout the day.

I was just thinking about the Scrapbook the other day. When did that disappear?

I have two on my iMac.

Clipmenu. Highly useful. Remembers the last 20 items clip. Can make boilerplate snippets that I find as helpful as TexExpander.

CloudClip. The big deal for me with CloudClip is that when you also have the app installed on other devices (iphone, ipad, macbook air) you can copy/paste between them. Yes, you can clip one item between devices in the OS but that one clip is only available temporarily. CloudClip remembers up to 50.

Gary at MacMost has developed ClipTools that i've been experimenting with on my macbook. it has a lot of features that i'm sure i'd use if i had the time to learn them.

CopyClip looks like what I was using, and it lives out of the way in the Menu bar until I click on the icon, but still records recent copies. Seems a bit different (improved?), so I'll try the trial before buying.

The others suggested here seem to be full-fledged applications that open their own windows to operate—true?

Your post appeared while I was writing.

I didn't understand the ClipMenu page. CloudClip looks interesting.

Yeah, the ClipMenu page is old school and looks like it hasn't been updated in a very long while. Amazingly I've had it installed for a VERY long time and through many an OS and hardware change (i'm on an M1 iMac running Ventura) it continues to simply just work.

I use ClipboardHistory and it works fine on my 14" M1 MBPro running Monty.

Glad to see Jumpcut is still around! I used to use it but it seemed to die years ago in an OS update and that's when I moved to ClipMenu.

I use JC as well, but it doesn't save the clips through a restart.

I think it's supposed to? Not sure.

That works like my old one. Wish it would put lines or dividers between copied items, though.
