POLL: Would you like a "Go To Topic" button here?

One thing I really miss is the ability to "Go To Topic" - especially after posting on a thread. It's annoying to be whisked all the way back to the top of the forum index page after making a post, instead of being taken back to the spot on the index page you were before posting.

Anyone else miss this function?

I think a "go to topic" button would be a VERY good idea, and I also think that there is no question "go to topic" should be the DEFAULT action after making a post, rather than "go to top" of forum. If you are reading 3 pages back from the front page, and make a post, you have to navigate all the way back to find the posts you were reading again, not very convenient.

I think it should be an option, maybe in your preferences or a quick redirect page.

(Uh oh, I remember the last time I became adamant about adding an option in a forum, the whole site ended up going down the tubes in 3 weeks...)

But as long as I'm at it, I'd also like to see a change in the way posts' images are seen or hidden. When I block images in forum prefs (there is only so many times I can look at Newton's undies...), it would be nice if the blocked image left a link in its place, so I could quickly check it out, for those posts that need the illustration to make any sense.
