The last song in Grindhouse is this ditty called Chick Habit, and I loved it the moment I heard it. The singer is April March (recording name). Turns out she used to front a band called the Pussywillows that I went to see numerous times in a small PA bar back in the early 90s. I even have a signed copy of their 12-inch EP.

She's got some resume... animator for Pee-Wee's Playhouse and Ren & Stimpy, sings in French, and so on.

I think the Bad Seeds are still a bit lacking with the departure of Blixa Bargeld.
Not to say they are bad... just not as good.

Haven't done the Bad Seeds yet but I got my hands on Orphans a few months back. Loved it, total genius. His cover of Sea of Love is beyond amazing. Interesting nugget... The Return Of Jackie And Judy, should be right up your street. Pop it on the iPod set it on repeat and thats you for the week.
