best way to get AppleTV audio to computer speakers?

I know of three options to do this, just seeing if anyone has experience or recommendations.

The speakers in question (some model of Logitech 2.1) have a 3.5mm input. The AppleTV in question has NO audio-out; the only connections are power and a single HDMI. As I mentioned in a previous thread, my "TVs" are actually computer monitors, not TVs so they have no speakers.

First, an HDMI audio extractor. It takes an HDMI signal and passes it through to the TV while also extracting the audio and sending it to an audio-out that can be hooked up to speakers.

Second, a Bluetooth receiver/adapter. It allows the AppleTV to send audio over BT and provides an audio-out that will connect to speakers.

The third option is expensive and probably not the way I want to go: an audio or A/V receiver (I have one but it's old and predates HDMI by decades so this option would involve a several $hundred purchase for something modern).

Fourth, something else that I hadn't considered?

I use an audio extractor. Most are very inexpensive. It took a few tries to get one that worked properly. Some do not pass thru the HDR and some mess with the clock on the optical audio output. For one system I use the U9 ViewHD Newest Ultra HD 4K HDMI Audio Extractor which is simple and does the job for only $25. For my other, bigger system, I needed video switching so I bought the FERRISA 4K@60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor which Amazon no longer Carrie’s. I paid $35. Maybe they have an updated model.

So it's an Apple TV HD (4th Gen), or later. The earlier ones had optical audio out.

A Bluetooth receiver might be the cheapest. Look for items that mention low latency. Some on Bez-azon are under $8. Not a recommendation, just an example of prices.

They will usually need a USB power source, or run on an internal battery. The battery ones will last 8-16 hours of use. Something like an Apple HomePod will also work.

I don't have an ATV yet, but maybe one day.

But every experience I've had with BT and video has been disappointing at best and intolerable at worst, because of audio lag.

Even the slightest lag is really annoying, and it doesn't take much more than that to become intolerable for me.

So I would go with whatever hardwire option didn't cause any lag, even if the only option were expensive.

Or I'd learn to lip read better.

Thanks, everyone.

I hadn't considered an Apple HomePod. A HomePod Mini is a possibility.

I'm leaning toward a Logitech Bluetooth adapter.
