Detroit musician Rodriguez has died at 81.

I copied and pasted from this article but I kept getting a forum database error but I have no idea what the error is so I just wrote this out...

That was a fantastic story. If you haven't seen the film, you owe it to yourself to watch it.

The documentary is great and so is Rodriguez’s music. I bought his two album releases after I watched the film. It’s so cool that he was one of Dave Matthews idols.

too late - the spoilers are out, but damned what great fun that was to watch.

that scene where the daughter gets to see her dad - a meek kinda guy - take the stage and master the crowd it like a badass was so cool. She never knew he dad had that within himself.

What I most remember about the documentary was a quote that went something like "He was the soundtrack of our lives".

What a fantastic film. Although I was surprised that he had already been rediscovered and toured Australia, which the documentary deliberately fails to mention.
