Best "Cordless" Stick vacuum (Best band for your buck).

We really want a Stick Vacuum. We have four cats and lots of hardwood / vinyl floors and several rugs. I'd really like a cordless but not sure where to look. Which ones should we consider?

This "Corded" one was at Costco yesterday and almost bought it then remembered I wanted cordless.

This looks "good enough"

Any other brands I need to be looking at?

I bought a full shark vacuum because I needed ultra-fine cat hair removed from carpets and the one I had wasn't cutting it. I asked here and someone posted a link to a shark full vacuum on sale and I am so impressed with it.

It's very powerful - it handles that fine cat hair just fine. I've had it for 6-7 years. When things go wrong, it's easy to just look at it, take it apart (without tools) and put it back together again with some choke point thingy removed. You can't put it back together again incorrectly - everything fits in only one way.

If looking for another product, I would not hesitate to go with shark.

I have been pleased with the Dyson V15. We got it at Costco.

I have an older Dyson stic vacuum and it works well. I think it’s a V7 so it’s pretty old.

Ukulele music I couldn't find anywhere else.

For $53, $210 retail, we've found this one hard to beat. With two batteries and a charger. Our Shark beat the bullet and we replaced it with one of these a year and a half ago for $60 then. We still have two Dyson's, a DC17 Animal upright and a DC26 canister for serious cleaning.

The site is a little overloaded right now so give it a bit.

Same vac sold out at Target.

We have a Dyson V8 that we like a lot. In fact we like it so much that when the old one died we bought the same model even though the current model is several numbers higher.

We also bought a Wyze cordless vacuum because it was a lot less money. The one we bought has a wall mount (although the vacuum doesn't directly plug in by putting it into the mount). I think the current one they're selling doesn't come with a wall mount.

We like the Wyze as much as the Dyson.

If I was going to buy another one at this point, I think I'd look at the Ryobi. I'd only look at it because I have several of their 18v batteries already and it can be bought without a battery.

It never occurred to me I could buy a stick vacuum that worked with the same batteries as my power drill. Black and Decker 20V. I'll stick with my Dyson for now but it's another option. Thanks for mentioning it.

Those with Ryobi batteries might want to look into this one.

We just got the Dyson V10 pet during Prime sales, saved $150. on it. After reading a bunch of reviews it was recommended as best bang for the buck if you wanted Dyson. I have to say I’m pretty impressed.

Space,

I have a Shark Rocket Pro Dirt Engage Cordless stick vacuum. Love it! Everything I wrote about it in this post still holds true:

[forums.macresource.com]

Not sure what the model is the current version replacement. The factors that made me choose it are still key:

Sucks well. User-replaceable battery. Good for wood floors, rugs and carpets. Freestanding when stored. Controls work well. Ample power. Ample attachments.

I'll also add readily available replacement parts.

That wasn't in my initial write up. Haven't had to buy any yet but it's nice knowing many parts are user replaceable and readily available.

I _really_ like a model that is free standing. We keep our Shark tucked away in a corner. No need to lean it. No need to hang it on a wall. Need to move it? Pick it up and stick it elsewhere.

I know too many people who spent the bucks on a Dyson and regretted it because they saw my Shark and noted it worked sufficiently well and cost _way_ less money.
