I always assume lists like those are ‘for public consumption’ level. The next level rich maintain a veil of anonymity many, many layers deep in shell corporations, umbrella organizations, LLCs, and offsite accounts in small countries with obscure names.

Not Bilderberg conspiracy stuff, just the privilege of being able to afford actual privacy and anonymity. And possibly freedom from prosecution.

Also Putin, right? I had read once he was hiding enormous amounts of money. Could just be BS though.

It’s widely agreed Putin’s in the top 5 or 10 in terms of wealth (I think it was even speculated he’s number 1 or 2). Naturally though, he has to hide it and can’t formally declare it, so he won’t be on any official lists.

Officially Putin makes around $60k/year.
