I need to (rent or borrow) a gas hole digger

any advice on rentals? I can get my son to help, so it will not be a one-person situation. got to put in posts about 42" deep.

The home improvement shows always seem to use them on rich, soft, finely-sifted soil. In PA the rocks will rip your arms off.

Around here Home Depot rents them as does a local tool rental. Just be sure you are not in rocky soil or your grandchildren will learn new words - even if they haven't been conceived yet!.

Nah! Something like brick laying, tile setting, plastering: yes. This is low skill stuff, manual labor.

Home Depot and Lowe’s have tool rental departments with them. But have you called to price a professional cone out and do it? Friend of mine did. He was flexible with the scheduling and let them take two days to do it. Was happy not to have to schlep the tool back and forth
