Has anyone jumped in and tried Sonoma?

That's it. I'm in no hurry, but some of you are adventurous. Spill.

I've been beta testing it. Seems to work fine. The dictation accuracy is better. Desktop widgets are mostly useless. System settings is still annoying. I think that about wraps it up.

I miss the days when macOS didn't get annual updates and the updates seemed to really mean something!

Yes. We used to look forward to the new features. Now, they're just "features."

I don't think I'm the only one who does not look forward to unnecessary hardware obsolescence.

I think they want to keep IT people occupied. Schwab has for the most part ruined their portfolio pages with change change…. When what they had was fine. Keep the groups occupied.

At the opposite end of the tech spectrum are a lot of banks. I was able to set up my RMD with a few clicks on Vanguard, and at my late father's bank where I still have some funds with a simple phone call followed by an electronic Docusign signature. But my Big Giant Bank IRAs are practically inaccessible using one of those newfangled computer thingies.

Big Giant Bank did the RMD for me last year as a "courtesy" at my local branch, but said they would CHARGE ME after that. They gave me a 5+ page document that I had to fill out with a writing implement and mail. It asked for info that I feel no sane person should enter in a paper document that has to be mailed. I put asterisks in those places with a note saying they could call me for the info, but that I wasn't going to risk handing it to an identity thief if the letter got lost. They have some of this info anyway since they are my Big Giant Bank. I'm waiting to see if this works, but if it doesn't, I will have to try to transfer the IRAs to somewhere competent.
