anyone have an idea about this error getting with iMovie?

Ventura. 16G, 1TB, Mini M1. 2x 27in HD mons. Powered USB hub.
and 2nd M1 (temporarily) connected via USBc or T3 or whatever it is.

iMovie 10. I ran Onyx and DFA to try to fix the issue, but it keeps coming back .... intermittently.

Is the 2nd M1 the possible issue for the OS?

That's usually a virtual memory error.

Filled up your boot drive?

You don't have 1TB free of a 1TB boot drive.

New User is my one of my first default responses to unexplained problems.

Next would be: full backup, nuke/pave/clean-install then migrate.

If it's not a lack of drive capacity, your app may be requesting more virtual memory than it's allowed to allocate. This type of bug is usually made apparent to developers and fixed quickly.

Have you checked the App Store for iMovie updates?

Or, have you recently updated iMovie (which may have introduced the bug)?

...One other thing: Your iMovie source files -- projects and events -- are all on your 2TB startup drive in the "Movies" folder, right? Having them elsewhere can cause weird problems.

I forgot to check. Bet you're right.
Thanks Tiangou.
