Does a new MRF member just join the forum?

A longtime fellow Mac user wants to join the MRF. I vaguely remember a thread about new members here, but I can’t find it. Is there more to it than simply registering, or was there some kind of approval required?

click on the 'report' link to contact the admin and let them know that your friend wants to join here. Most new users are scrutinized to death because most are fake - just let the admin know that a decent person wants to join.

there have been times long ago when someone would be drummed out for calling a mac a MAC and other similar offenses. I think we've mellowed with age since those Mac vs Wintel days.
