Wireless Can't Delete Network

Wife evidently went to places she should not have gone on the internet she now has a network option called whitehousewifi as a choice. I can't find a way to delete it even after searching the web. It does not show up on the list of wireless networks to forget or delete. She is running latest version of El Captian on a mid 2009 MacBook Pro.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

And before you comment--yes I know it is an old laptop and yes I have offered numerous times to buy her a new laptop but she says she is fine with this one. However I may have her thinking about a new one for Christmas.

Are you sure that the computer ever connected to that WiFi network? If it's just showing as an available network to connect to and is not showing on the list of saved networks, then it's quite possible that it's just the name of one of your neighbors WiFi network and your computer is in range so you're seeing it as a choice to connect to, and can just ignore it.

Do you also see it as a WIFI choice on your computer when in the same location as your wife's computer?

She is connected. May be a neighbors but strangley not showing up on my network. Right now it appears to be doing no harm.

Got an iPhone?

You can use Airport Utility for iOS as a wireless scanner.

Should work on an iPad as well, never tried it.
