I got 3 months yesterday through Best Buy. The last time I tried it it said there had been many freebies already on my account. I really enjoy AppleTV and was ready to pay for it about a month ago but realized it had gone to $10/month, that's a >40% increase.

That happened to me with News. I now redeem the codes in my wife's account and share it back through Family Sharing. I think it would work with AppleTV as well (create a 2nd account to be part of your family if needed). Doesn't work with Music since the trials for that are usually individual as there's a separate family plan for Music.

I dropped it when the increase was made known.

Recently, I'd been considering going for the annual payment/discount, and had I not dawdled, I would be at the last lowest price for a year.

But I dawdled and didn't abide the increase.

If Apple has raised it a buck, I'd a kept it.

You know, just the tip.

But the whole thing, no K-Y, not even the courtesy of a reach-around.

Apple put a badge on the ATV app about renewing.
