NBC Sets Post-Strike Return Dates for #OneChicago, Law & Order Trio, Night Court and More — Final Magnum Episodes MIA
....Two weeks after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended, NBC is the latest broadcast network to unveil its game plan for the delayed TV season — and the net is not waiting until the clock strikes 2024 to press the launch button.
NBC will premiere its new Jon Cryer comedy Extended Family as well as air a special holiday episode of sophomore sitcom Night Court on Saturday, Dec. 23 immediately following its coverage of the NFL matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The two shows will then drop anchor in their normal Tuesday time slot on Jan. 2.
Elsewhere, the third and final season of La Brea (more on that here) bows Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 9/8c, where it will lead into the final two Season 1 episodes of Found. Dick Wolf’s #OneChicago trifecta will kick off their respective new seasons on Wednesday, Jan. 17, with Wolf’s Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime returning Thursday, Jan. 18.
Freshman drama The Irrational will return with the first of its final four episodes on Monday, Jan. 29.
Magnum P.I.‘s final two episodes, meanwhile, have been pushed from late December until early 2024. An air date for the final episodes of Quantum Leap Season 2 will be announced in the coming weeks. Also TBD: Return dates for Lopez vs. Lopez, The Weakest Link, Password, That’s My Jam and The Wall.
Most NBC series are eyeing 13-episode seasons.

La Brea Confirmed to End With Season 3 — Get Final Episode Count
.....The Harris clan’s time in that other Land Down Under is coming to an end.
NBC double-secret officially confirmed on Monday that La Brea‘s upcoming Season 3 will be the sci-fi drama’s last.
At the time of La Brea‘s renewal back in January, there was talk that Season 3 might constitute the sci-fi drama’s swan song, seeing as the cast would be released from their contracts due to an abbreviated episode count. (That initial order of just six episodes was informed by the then-looming WGA strike, with the aim of writing/filming them all before any potential work stoppage.)
La Brea‘s farewell run will indeed span just six episodes, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 9/8c.......
........La Brea.........ending..........?!
FBI’s Shantel VanSanten Moving to FBI: Most Wanted for Season 5
.....Shantel VanSanten is on the move: The actress who plays FBI‘s Special Agent Nina Chase is joining spinoff FBI: Most Wanted for its fifth season,
.
VanSanten joined FBI in Season 4 when Chase temporarily filled in for Maggie after she was exposed to sarin gas in the line of duty. She also served as an undercover agent and continued to recur throughout Season 5 of the mothership series.
The actress’ big switch follows Alexa Davalos’ Most Wanted exit, which was announced in August. Davalos, who joined the cast at the start of Season 3 as agent Kristin Gaines, was “informed by a producer on set that she won’t be coming back” after filming her last scene of Season 4. Despite the abrupt departure, her exit was described as “amicable.”......
.......you.......Shant.......be seeing her on FBI...........?!
