The Muppets Mayhem Cancelled at Disney+ After One Season

....Disney+ is cutting Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem’s comeback tour short, cancelling The Muppets Mayhem after one season.

“What a long, strange trip it’s been!” co-creator and executive producer Jeff Yorkes wrote on social media shortly after news of the show’s cancellation broke. “The highs (thanks Zoot!), the lows… A huge thank you to our loyal fans and viewers. I hope audiences continue to discover our little show and that it brings them some joy… and some Mayhem!! Rock on!!”

The live-action comedy starred Lilly Singh as Nora, an ambitious young music executive who worked with The Electric Mayhem — featuring Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone and Lips on trumpet — to help them finally record their first-ever studio album.....

Miracle Workers Cancelled After 4 Seasons at TBS

....TBS is done working miracles.

The cable network has officially cancelled Miracle Workers — its last remaining live-action comedy — after four seasons.

The cancellation comes roughly three months after the Season 4 finale, which aired Aug. 28.

After its debut season cast Steve Buscemi as God and Daniel Radcliffe as a low-level angel, subsequent seasons of the comedic anthology covered the Dark Ages (Season 2) and the Oregon Trail (Season 3).

The fourth and final season, dubbed End Times, cast Buscemi, Radcliffe, Geraldine Viswanathan, Karan Soni and Jon Bass as all-new characters “in a dystopian future full of radioactive mutants, killer robots and a tyrannical homeowner’s association with outrageous annual fees,” per the official description.....

.......no more miracles...............?!

Amazon Cancels 3 Series, Including The Horror of Dolores Roach

....Dolores Roach’s killing spree has come to an end. The Horror of Dolores Roach, starring Justina Machado, has been cancelled after just one season at Prime Video. Additionally, With Love and Harlan Coben’s Shelter will not return for more seasons at the streamer.

Dolores Roach, based on the Spotify podcast of the same name, was a contemporary Sweeney Todd-inspired tale that takes place in New York City’s Washington Heights. The show followed Dolores (Machado) as she gets out of prison and returns to her old neighborhood that has been gentrified in her absence. She reunites with an old stoner friend, Luis (Alejandro Hernandez), who runs an empanada shop, and she accidentally becomes a serial killer in an effort to finally take charge of her own life, with Luis covering up each kill by using the bodies as empanada filling.

With Love debuted in 2021 and ran for two seasons, following siblings Lily (Emeraude Toubia) and Jorge (Mark Indelicato) as they try to find love and purpose while being a part of a tight-knit family. The supporting cast included Isis King, Vincent Rodriguez III and Andre Royo, with One Day at a Time veteran Gloria Calderón Kellett serving as series creator.

Harlan Coben’s Shelter was based on the YA mystery novel by author Harlan Coben and centered on a teen named Mickey (Jaden Michael) who moves to a new town and gets involved in the unsolved disappearance of a fellow student. Constance Zimmer and Kristoffer Polaha led the show’s supporting cast; its first (and now only) season premiered in August.......

.................3 shows.........gone..............?!

The commercials for Miracle Workers looked funny, but I never bothered to watch the show.

how can they cancel the Muppets?

Full disclosure, I'm wearing an Animal t-shirt right now, one of 3 I own.

"Defending your own life when in immediate danger to me is a basic right of each person. " Lemon Drop 11/17/2023 03:10 pm

Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008) Private citizens have the right under the Second Amendment to possess an ordinary type of weapon and use it for lawful, historically established situations such as self-defense in a home, even when there is no relationship to a local militia.

"The conclusion is thus inescapable that the history, concept, and wording of the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as well as its interpretation by every major commentator and court in the first half-century after its ratification, indicates that what is protected is an individual right of a private citizen to own and carry firearms in a peaceful manner." Right to Keep and Bear Arms: Report of the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the Committee on the Judiciary, United States Senate, Ninety-seventh Congress, Second Session. U.S. Government Printing Office. 1982. Digitized September 30, 2008.

From the NYSRPA v Bruen "Today, we decline to adopt that two-part approach. . . . Despite the popularity of this two-step approach, it is one step too many. Step one of the predominant framework is broadly consistent with Heller, which demands a test rooted in the Second Amendment's text, as informed by history."
